I learned so much about myself using these mindfulness techniques. The micro-hits are such a great way to keep myself grounded and to be mindful throughout my day. I learned how to use time better, to be spontaneous without judgement and to feel good while being present. I have practised several different styles of meditation over the past few years and found that these specific techniques really added value to my practice. I will continue using these techniques for sure. One technique that really radiated with me was the formal guided practice, using the See, Hear and Feel technique. Lisa's Mindfulness course was an incredible immersion into the practice of meditation.  She was able to provide a safe, relaxed, non judgemental environment (even online) for us to share about our experiences with these new meditation techniques, while making us feel like the experts and reinforcing the things we already do in our lives that support a mindful approach to living. Her personal experiences and empathetic listening skills made it feel easy to participate and share fully in discussions and her genuine and down-to-earth vibe made it feel realistic and attainable to bring these techniques into my daily life without feeling overwhelmed.  She was able to clearly explain the techniques and her calm demeanour was perfect for the guided meditations we did (which were my favourite part!). I can't say enough about this course; it helped me to widen my experience with meditation and mindfulness by integrating new and unexpected techniques that I will continue to use in my daily life.

I took the Mindfulness course from Lisa Akl. Lisa is absolutely amazing and she has such a beautiful passion. You can see how much she loves educating and giving us wonderful suggestions to help with our stress levels. Lisa is so thorough and always comes prepared with many visuals and really takes the time to fully explain with great details and many examples and visuals. Lisa also has such a soothing voice and has a calming demeanour. When we meditated and did Yoga, Lisa explained the movements with a calm and soothing voice, this in turn helped me greatly.
